About
I set up The CV house in 2005, following a corporate career in Human Resources. Initially designed to be a relatively short-term venture, I quickly realised that above all else, the positive nature of the work is hugely rewarding - nothing beats helping someone to move from an unsatisfactory career space or scary job loss to new and fulfilling challenges. I’ve had the pleasure of working with an incredibly diverse range of people, and built up a knowledge and contact base spanning multiple sectors and locations.
I began my corporate career as a graduate trainee at Ford Motor Company, progressing from a first role as Employee Relations Officer within one of Ford’s vehicle assembly plants through to a number of Human Resources Management roles supporting Sales, Finance, IT, Manufacturing and Central Staffs functions.
Following that, I moved to financial services, taking on the role of HR Director for Global Banking Operations with ING Barings.
Outside work, I enjoy the simple pleasures of life in rural Oxfordshire. I spend much of my free time marshalling dogs and teenagers, wiping muddy paw/foot prints off the kitchen floor and ensuring that everyone gets to where they want to go on time and within national speed limits.
